Welcome to Starfire Shih Tzu

     My husband Bill and I got our first Shih Tzu in 1990 and fell head over heels in love with the breed. Our first dog was Jenny whom we bought from Celia David of Ambiance Shih Tzu. My parents showed dogs so I became interested in possibly showing for myself one day. Jenny (who was not originally bought as a show dog) became the "guinea pig" as I learned to groom and show. Cele soon became a good friend and sounding board through many frustrating shows and grooming problems . Well, Jenny never obtained a championship title but  I've shown and  finished many others (all owner-handled) over the years. Through these  years I have met a lot of wonderful people at the shows and had the opportunity to do a lot of traveling. I am a member of the American Shih Tzu Club and have been involved at various times with local all breed clubs.
