Beading
I used to do bead stringing when I was little.  One of my babysitters taught me.  I recently rediscovered how much I loved working with beads. I like loom beading too. I'm not that good at it but with more practice I'll improve.

Here are some samples of things I have made.  They aren't very pretty, but from each one, I have learned something new. And I am proud of that.
This is my first loomed piece.  I did it on a dimestore loom with some *very* cheap beads that came from a bead kit my daughter got for her birthday last year.
This is the first bracelet I did on my Bearcat loom. I did this with the beads and thread that came with the loom. It took me a total of 2.5 hours including the weaving.
These beads are made of brown and white clay. My daddy brought it to be from Mexico when I was little.  Unfortunately, it broke one day and I lost several of the beads. This is what I made with the remaining beads.
This the third bracelet, and the second one I did on my loom. It took me 3 hours because I was trying to weave the band differently. This is the pattern and beads that my daughter picked out (she's 8).
My mother-in-law designed this one. She modified the pattern from the second bracelet and picked out the colors for this.  I learned with this one that I have to have tighter weft. I also learned that beads of different size DO NOT go together loomed, even if beads look similar.

I have done only some simple stringing, but have not scanned anything yet. 9/12/05.
