Spiral Ropes - Test Pieces

This was my first attempt at the spiral rope. As you can see I made something pretty, but it wasn't what I wanted, nor was it the right way.

I believe the directions are from
http://rogue.northwest.com/~ahawley/spiralrope.htm

After reading and re-reading the directions and going step by step, I was thrilled to discover my mistake and correct it. I then came up with this.

I was at work doing this.  I was so thrilled. I almost couldn't keep my mind on my work I was so happy.  I must have showed everyone there my success.

This piece to the left titled "red and gold magic" is another test of a certain color pattern and how I would transition from one color to another and then back again.

I also wanted to add some other "chips" in to see when I needed to add them in so they would align at the right place. I am happy with my new stitch.

I now have this piece "seagreen spiral"  that I am planning to use in a multiple necklace combination for a new friend. I hope she doesn't read this and realize it's for her and ruin her surprise.
