Our mission originally was to explore and make contact with the inhabitants of M’kwethet, who in turn were friendly and posed no threat. There was no weaponry or modern tools and the planet had the appearance of that of a town in the early 1000’s. The inhabitants of this planet were ruled, and still had an ongoing relationship to the Goa’uld by giving up twenty children – ten girls and ten boys – to the Goa’uld every two years. Upon witnessing the arrival of the past sacrifice, we set upon learning more about this sacrifice, SG-1 attempted to learn more about their customs and tried to intergrade ourselves into their form of life. As the other members of SG-1 learned more about the culture we had been introduced into, I searched the surrounding area, and realized that the Goa’uld had taken and left this world without a Dial Home Device. In trying to save some of the children, Captain Samantha Carter and Teal’c took the children from the town. In doing so, unknowingly subject the rest of SG-1 to the government of M’kwethet who were once chosen and rejected themselves. In an effort to prevent war from being waged on the inhabitants of M’kwethet, Dr. Jackson and I accompanied the chosen to the Goa’uld home world of Saqqara. Dr. Jackson and I managed to hide amongst the tribute and were therefore taken to another part of the world via a transporting device. Dr. Jackson and I were then taken to a building that housed many tributes. The building was controlled by a Jaffa named Ahmose and he served under the First Prime Jaffa named Nekhmet. The First Prime took us back to the Goa’uld palace to serve Apophis, therefore finding that this was in fact the Goa’uld world that housed the false God himself, and his wife Ammonet who was previously Dr. Jackson’s wife on Abydos. While we were taken and made servants, Dr. Jackson and I were split up. I set out to find the First Prime, Nekhmet, to retrieve the Portable dialing device he wore on his wrist. When the First prime was killed and the dialing device retrieved, I proceeded to dial to M’kwethet in hopes to retrieve Captain Samantha Carter and Teal’c. In the sudden surprise of the Gate dialing, the gate was efficiently blocked and I was then provided with a diversion by Daniel Jackson who was left behind on Saqqara. Upon arriving to M’kwethet, I found that Captain Carter and Teal’c were on Trial for the Death of the chosen girl, Maesen and with some persuasion, the Government allowed us to leave through the Stargate were we would then go back to Saqqara. Upon departure of M’kwethet, we were approached by one of the children the Captain had managed to save from the tribute. We gave her the portable dialing device in order to save more of the children from having to be sent to Saqqara for the tribute. On arriving to Saqqara, we found the Dr. Jackson had created another diversion and he supplied us with weapons in which to protect ourselves from the advancing enemy forces. Unknown to us, Apophis and his queen, Ammonet had just come from the gate and had brought troops. As Dr. Jackson attempted to dial us home, he was wounded in the upper right shoulder by a staff blast. Although his injuries were painful, he managed to dial us home and sent the code. In which then, we were sent back to earth.
There does not appear to be any military or economic advantage to pursuing any further relationship with the people of the world Called M’kwethet. Their government is vested in sustaining a subservient relationship with the Goa’uld. They demonstrated no interest in exploring areas of mutual assistance or defense.
