The pain that I've hidden, now shows in my eyes,
a smile on my face, to hide the hundreds of lies.
I say that all is fine, and I am doing great,
how much longer can I hide what is now hate?
The words you speak tear my heart all apart,
did your feelings change, when did the hate start?
I called you more then a friend, I called you siser,
I've been there always, and now know that I miss her.
She's the one I trusted, told my hopes and dreams,
now my saddened heart breaking at the very seams.
Your secrets and mistakes, to myself, I've kept,
under the rug, hidden from view, they were swept.
When we had a misunderstanding, I took the blame,
never thinking about it twice, nothing was the same.
To myself I keep my lonely cries and hidden pain,
but the scars you have made, will forever remain.
I would have rather died and gone to heaven above,
then to be left here, alone, to always doubt your love.
My trust has vanished, become something of the past,
disappeared into dust, how much longer can I last.

Yesterday's pain must be done away,
for if it's not, how can you start a new day.
Yesterday's mistakes have been made and past,
but what have you learned from them will last.
Yesterday's love has never began to fade,
for it grows stronger with every new today.
Yesterday's dreams must always be remembered,
for them to ever come true, never to be forgotten.
Yesterday's passion never becomes lost in the past,
it burns hotter today, a feeling that forever will last.
Yesterday's tears have been forgotten and dried,
but remembering today why it was that you cried.
Yesterday's new friends are here, they never leave,
for today it will get better, this you must believe.
Yesterday's saddness has vanished back into dust,
for there's hope in the future, you must truly trust.
Yesterday's fears have been pushed far aside,
in today's joys, your heart and mind must abide.
Yesterday's happiness is in your heart to treasure,
reach out today, make it better, no matter the measure.

Why can't we have an unbreakable heart,
never again having to say goodbye or part.
Why does honesty have to come last,
no matter how hard you try, you cannot hide the past.
Why can't we make pain something in the past,
but instead, the hurt does always last.
Why do words of anger hurt the worst,
can't someone just think carefully first.
A heart is a fragile and cherished possession.
Taken for granted it should never break,
from the promises that people always forsake.
People try to hide, conceal and disguise,
when truly the hurt is withing their lies.
So, here's the lesson to learn from the start,
hide your heart until they make an Unbreakable Heart.
