Bengal Tiger

About 20 Bengal Tigers are killed every day. It used to be over 1500!

They are found throughout India from the Himalayas to Cape Comorin, except in the deserts. They like to make their homes in dense thickets, long grass, shrubs along river banks. Some seem to have special fondness for old ruins.

They prefer deer, wild pigs, young buffalo, young elephants and cattle in general, any prey over 100 pounds in weight, but they will eat almost anything alive, even humans, on occasion.
