Emily was much shyer and much more easily spooked when she was younger, but one day she turned completely around and started loving attention. What helped a lot was giving her her own house. She's had her pumpkin nook ever since. Once she had a home to retreat into when she was feeling scared, she calmed down immensely, and is the only hamster that no matter what time of day you call her name, will come out of the house to see you. She runs on the wheel like a fiend and will have sudden bursts of speed so we have to keep an extra close eye on her when we have her out of the cage. Her fur is extra plush and velvety. |
