Tortoiseshells

Tortoiseshell are almost always female hamsters with only one yellow gene. This creates yellow spots on a golden hamster, or spots of yellow combined with the base color on any other color hamster. Cream based hamsters probably won't show any spots since cream should mask the yellow. Hamsters with bands or dominat spot genes are also known as tri colors. I will be adding more pics as I get them. The genetic code for a tort is Toto. I will put only the color code below, ignoring the other genes in parantheses as not to confuse.
