In awe and bemusement I quietly watch as my angel sleeps,
I cannot help but smile as she lies there in her bed,
All seeming innocence and sweet bliss.
Her tiny fingers curled under rosy petal soft
cheeks,
In her gentle slumber, she hardly seems
the mischievous child that fills my days with laughter and delight;
All constant motion...blurs of angelic wings mixed with tangled limbs.
But in her dreamy state she is peace itself.
My daughter, my heart...my slumbering angel.
