What's New?
7/16/01 - Chris and I went to see the NY Yankees play the Florida Marlins at Pro Player Stadium in Miami.  Chris is a Yankees fan, and when we moved here to Florida, he was quite upset that he could no longer go to Yankees games.  So, for his birthday (June 17) I bought him Yankees tickets.  Personally, I am not much of a baseball fan, but the game wasn't bad.  Yankees won 5-4 in extra innings.  Now, when it comes time for the NY Jets to play the Miami Dolphins....*grin*
7/21/01 - Well, my job search continues.  I had an interview last week at Mead Construction, and have a second interview with Mr. Mead himself on Monday the 23rd.  I updated my Short Stories page with a new story called Six Months To Live.
7/24/01 - WOOO HOOOOO!!!!!  I now am once again a member of the EMPLOYED!  I got the job at Mead Construction.  I will be doing a lot of work with municipalities and obtaining permits for clients.  I start on Monday.
08/27/01 - Well, I am still working, but Chris isn't now cause he pulled some tendons in his elbow.  With the line of work that he was in, he can't use his arm anymore for the time being, so he is recouperating :)

Now for the good news!!!  On Saturday, Chris and I finally got "officially" engaged.  He surprised me by taking me to Disney World, and we had a blast.  We went to Magic Kingdom, then headed over to Epcot and had lunch in "France."  We walked around "France" for a bit, went into some posh little French shops, then we got a glass of wine and sat in this cute little alley between the Patisserie and the Boulangerie at a little wrought iron table sipping our wine.  That was when he "popped the question" and pulled out the diamond ring.  I couldn't contain my happiness (I always did believe in miracles.....)  and naturally I said yes.  (And no, I did not wake up after all this happened! *lol*) 

So to catch everyone up to date, things are ok here in Florida.  Chris is recouperating from his elbow injury.  We are hopefully getting an apartment of our own in a week or so, and the best news of all is that got engaged. Now we just need to find someone to throw us an engagement party. LOL

On Sunday morning, my cat Zach died.  He was my favorite cat that I've had :(  He was getting old and had been sick, but the vet told us he was fine and was getting better.  All of a sudden on Sunday morning, he died.  After having such a great day on Saturday, it was quite a shock to lose Zach.
08/25/03 - WOW! I forgot all about this website and all the time I invested in making it two years ago.  In fact, if I had waited two more days to update this site, it would be two years to the day since I last touched it.  I wonder if anyone still visits it???  I started thinking about it because I would like to start writing again.  Since we moved back to Connecticut and I am no longer an unemployed, bored, pregnant housewife I have NO TIME to myself anymore, which includes time to write, which I miss doing.  Well, since I last updated the UPDATES page, Chris and I have gotten married, had a kid, and now we're bakin' another one in the oven of Mom.  We have a 16 month old son named Ethan and we are expecting our second child in March 2004.  I hope this one is a girl so we can call it quits.

I am back working in retail again, which is crazy-busy.  Chris works for the same company that I do, but a different location.  I am thinking about going back to school if I can manage to find the time  (and money) so I can do something different.  I am tired of retail and the way people treat retail workers. 'Nuff said.
