To Readers and Potential Readers of Starry Night Studios: 05/21/06
That's right kids... did you see this coming? I'm not completely going away. I will be finishing Better Days and beta-ing for the new owner- Lux. Lux is actually part of the two-writer team that was working on "Going Under" under the pen name Sophia. Lux's other half decided to finally call it a day on the fan fic, so she'll be continuing Going Under on her own. However, I believe she will be doing some minor editing on what's up so far as well as changing the title.
Suffice to say, Lux is not an actor fic writer. The only actor fic that will posted here will be mine. As a matter of fact we've been talking about just having the links to my stories at Man in the Mirror here and freeing up some space for Lux's fics and any she decides to host. Like I said, Better Days will be finished. I may return to Brilliant Disguise but as of now it's on the shelf. If I continue to do anything in the fan fic world but beta for Lux (and probably some graphic work for the site), it will probably have to do with stories following Caro/Orlando (from Ain't Got You). Maybe a short or two having to do with Faye/Orli but I'm not even going to think about that until I finish up the story. The moral of the story here, is that you will always be able to find my fic by visiting this site, even if they're not posted here.
As for Lux and what she'll be writing and hosting (again if she so chooses)- we're talking Harry Potter, Buffy, Lord of the Rings, Star Gate, Star Gate Atlantis and much in the way of crossovers between all of them. I'm very excited about this b/c she's a talented writer and these just happen to be the fandoms I've been reading most lately. Once she decides how she's going to set up shop here, the site will be reopening.
Honestly, I just can't deal with the site anymore and maybe if I don't have that swirling around in my head, I'll be able to write more. Really, I'd kinda like to tackle some character fiction myself someday and even have a few ideas in my head but as far as that goes, the only thing that might be even somewhat forthcoming in the near future is the return of Badlands (Buffy/LOTR crossover) which will only be because I'll be working with Lux on it. Maybe someday I'll come back full time but seeing as all attempts to make that happen are met with utter failure, odds are I'll get more done going it half-ass than I'm getting done now. Honest. It really does make sense. You'll see.
