Welcome to The (Unofficial) World of Jefferson Starship
Updated November 6, 1998
"I think the [Jefferson] Starship,
when I and Grace sang together,
was one of the hottest acts ever."
Marty Balin, 1981
And they definitely were. And still is (even if Grace Slick has retired and Marty now soars together with Diana Mangano, and Paul Kantner of course).

That is why I have decided to create this site in honor of the past and present members of the Jefferson Starship.
A driving force was that there was no Official Jefferson Starship Homepage for more than a year, and I thought that such a great band, which created so many superb songs (some of them became top 40 hits), should have a site fully devoted to it. But finally the Official Jefferson Starship Site is back!
Especially, my site hosts The Jefferson Starship Base (new updated version), which lists all (by me) known concerts by the Jefferson Starship 1974-1984.
I would be very happy for all help I can get for making this JS Base as complete and correct as possible.
As Marty (1981, Relix Magazine Vol. 8:5) continues:
"The last couple of years [1976-78] were some of the deadliest performances ever. I wish they were recorded, because there were
moments when we left people shattered. They'd be screaming, charging up the aisles. We had the sound that made people go crazy."
