3.01 - Those Lazy-Hazy-Crazy Days
Returning from her summer internship in Washington, D.C., where she mingled with members of Congress, including Senator Barbara Boxer, Rory faces a dilemma in her conflict over Dean and Jess. Lorelai is overjoyed to have Rory home, but the news that Christopher's girlfriend is having a baby leaves Lorelai questioning her future. (09.24.2002)
3.02 - Haunted Leg
Emily ignores Lorelai's pleas to stay out of her love life, and tries to reunite Christopher with his family, resulting in an ugly confrontation between Rory and her father. Meanwhile, Lorelai fights off the romantic attentions of the town geek, Kirk and Rory learns that Jess is angry that she ignored him over the summer. (10.01.2002)
3.03 - Application Anxiety
Rory takes her first steps on the road to Harvard when her long-awaited application arrives in the mail and she sets up an appointment to meet an alumnus for advice. Meanwhile, Taylor tries to persuade Luke to open a soda fountain in Stars Hollow, and Lane puts an ad in the local paper searching for a rock band to join. (10.08.2002)
3.04 - One's Got Class and the Other One Dyes
The Stars Hollow PTA invites Lorelai and Luke to talk about their businesses at the high school's Career Day, but the students are more interested in Lorelai's teen pregnancy. Meanwhile, Lane learns her mom wants to send her off to a conservative religious college, so she declares her independence by dyeing her hair purple (with Rory's help). (10.15.2002)
3.05 - Eight O'Clock at the Oasis
While attending an auction organized by her mother, Lorelai bumps into---and falls for---a handsome stranger. After arranging a dinner with her dashing new beau, Lorelai is astonished when her prying parents instruct her to be on her best behavior. They're concerned that Lorelai's rather haphazard dating habits will damage their own standing in the upper-crust community. Meanwhile, Rory wishes there were a plumber in the family when she can't turn off a neighbor's sprinkler system and is forced to enlist Jess's aid. (10.22.2002) |
