James' Gunpla Page

Welcome to my Gundam page, my gallery of finished, unfinished, and completely messed up models that I've worked on. First up for display is going to be my Perfect Grade, 1/60th scale model of the RX-78-2, aka "First Gundam".

The Project started on Tuesday, June 12th, with panel detailing and other 'small' work proceeding at a moderate pace until Wednesday night, the 13th, when the first piece was clipped from the tree.

Assembly work progressed throughout the night (well, until about midnight when I went to sleep :) and into Thursday night (damn work for interrupting the important stuff!), with completion of the head, left and right arms, and the left leg, before I got bored and jumped around in construction....

So Friday, June 15th, I decided to skip ahead. Instead of working on the next leg, I started work on the Core Fighter....

The Core Fighter

    ....and the weaponry...

A Gundam's nothing without its weaponry...

And then real life interrupted, and nothing got done over the weekend. Ah well, such is life. Work resumed progress on Monday, June 18, actually following the schedule for the most part, with breaks for sidetrack-completion of the shield and a little fun...

Alas, poor Yurich, I knew him well...Well, its almost a Gundam!

Tuesday, June 19th saw the completion of the Torso and Waist, and Tuesday night the Gundam was assembled...

All Laid Out...Ready and Waiting!

Wednesday, the 20th saw the first 'Field Tests', so to speak....

And now I go back to finishing up my 'experimental paint model', the EVANGELION Unit 01, and moving onto my other models...
