Air partage la scène de Beck! -    [My English Translation]

At Home with the Groovebox.

Beck rules!

Air Speaks -

French duo Air are to release a spoken-word album this spring, prior to the release of their next studio album.

'City Reading (Tre Storie Western)' is released on March 25 and is a musical rendition of Italian writer Alessandro Baricco's novel 'City', about a young mathematical genius with a vivid fantasy life.

According to MTV, the band were invited to perform with Baricco at a reading of the book last November and have since decided to translate the critically acclaimed project into an album.

Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich mixed over one hour of new instrumentals for the album, which will consist of three pieces, 'La Putana di Closing Town', 'Caccia All'umo' and 'Bird'.

Air's next album, the follow-up to last year's '10,000 Hz Legend' is due to be released in late 2003.

"I Hear Voices" -

Air's Record Makers label presents "I Hear Voices"
Record Makers was established in Paris, France in 2000 as a means of discovering and presenting new underground talents that appealed to the ears of Nicolas Godin and JB Dunckel (Air) and their friends and managers. Their first new artist release was the eclectic and eccentric songs of Sebastien Tellier, whose album "L'Incroyable Verite" appeared in the summer of 2001. Sebastien performed live throughout that year opening for Air on their world tour, confounding some ears but delighting many more. Having been instrumental in compiling the acclaimed Sourcelab and Source Material collections of the late '90s, members of the Record Makers crew decided it was time to present a new collection of renegade sounds from Paris and beyond. Here we have sixteen previously unreleased songs, which draw on a variety of styles and sounds including hip-hop, electro-pop, French "chanson" and dark disco.
