This First Episode follows the young years of Anakin Skywalker (Darth Vader). The friendship of Obi-wan Kenobi , who is a young Jedi Knight, Yoda and Qui-Gon Jinn, a Jedi Master, are also central aspects. This story reveals the beginning of the rise to power of Senator Palpatine to Emperor.
When the evil Trade Federation plots to take over the peaceful planet of Naboo, Jedi Master-Qui-Gon Jinn and his apprentice Obi-Wan Kenobi embark on an amazing adventure to save the planet. With them on their journey is the young Queen Amidala, Gungan outcast JarJar Binks, and the powerful Captain. They travel to the faraway planets of Tatooine and Coruscant in a futile attempt to save their world from Darth Sidious, leader of the Trade Federation.
The Queen barely escapes with her two Jedi Knight bodyguards, but when the ship is damaged, they are forced to make a pit stop on Tatooine. There they discover Anakin Skywalker, a young slave who is gifted with machines. After freeing him and discovering that the Imperial Senate will do nothing to help them, they head back to Naboo to take on the invasion force.
A finally battle develops with Qui-Gon Jinn & Obi-wan fighting Darth Maul, the strongest Dark Lord of the Sith to ever wield a lightsaber. Qui-Qon Jin is killed leaving Obi-wan the task of training young Anakin Skywalker the Jedi ways. Queen Amidala is safe, for the time being, leading her planet to freedom.
