Memory Of My Brother
Robert Lee Bellon
3/5/51 To
8/31/02
Robert went to meet his heavenly Father on August 31,
2002.
After a long battle with cancer. He was at home with his wife
and I,and that is where he wanted to be,and to have me there. He
will be missed and loved by many, and never, ever forgotten.
Robert left behind a loving wife of 30 years, 2 sons and a
daughter,1 grandson,2 grand daughters. 3 sisters and 3 sister-in
laws, and 3 brother-in laws. Boy was he surround by women.
Who was my
brother?
He was a man who didn't have a lot materially, but he was
the richest man
in the world as far as love went. He was a dreamer, an eternal
optimist, a man who knew his own mind - and yours! He protected
his family like a lion and loved them fiercely, every one of
them, even if he didn't always agree with what they
did.
He loved his family and his friends with the utmost loyalty and
if they needed help or comfort, he was the first to give it. He
hated injustice and really believed that one person could make a
difference. He had an informed opinion on everything and loved
nothing better to inform you although he loved a heated debate
even better.
Although he had great physical pain in his life,
he didn't rail against the fates much, he kept his doubts and
fears to himself.
He loved life and living and he used and enjoyed the enforced
leisure of his life to the maximum with a passionate interest in
everything that took his fancy.
And he loved to laugh;he always had to tell you the latest joke
that had tickled his funny bone. A celebration of his life - but
the world is a much lesser place for his going. I miss Robert a
lot.He was a wonderful brother.
Robert always looked out for me. He had lots of cute nick names
for me and sometimes drove me nuts! When I got mad at him, Bob as
the family called him would always say I`m allowed to tell you
things, It`s written in the Big Brother Handbook,so get mad all
you want. I spent half of my childhood cursing that book!
lol.
Robert was a transportation truck driver.
He had a lot of truck driving jobs since the age of 26 and the
reason for so many is ,he knew people should take a vacation, but
he did not like to have one only once a year.
He wanted his vacation to be 5 or 6 months long..
He believed in long vacations,LOL. I know that he is up in heaven
watching over us, but I would do anything to have him here with
us.
