| The Vestry is the governing body of the Church comprising 12 men and women elected by members at the Annual Parish Meeting. The Vestry meets approximately once a month with the Rector to set policies, administer funds, and oversee the operation of the Church. In addition, Vestry members are assigned to commitees that oversee the ministries of the church. | Job Descriptions for Committees of St. Andrew's Education (Chair: Cathey Harrison & Kevin Schubert) Oversee Christian education for adults, youth and children in our parish, paying particular attention to Sunday morning education, seasonal education offerings, and increasing member participation. Evangelism (Chair: Leah Faucett & Tony Mandola) Communicate the mission and vision of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church to the community of which we are a part, particularly in regard to welcoming people into the life of our congregation with the good news of God’s unconditional love for us. Finance (Chair: Sarrah Moseley & George Weber) Take responsibility for parish finances, paying particular attention to the monthly balance sheets, preparation and oversight of the annual budget, pledge statements, and the annual audit. Hospitality (Chair: Annalisa Kirk) Welcome all people to our parish with love and enthusiasm, particularly by seeing that meals (potluck dinners, picnics, the Feast of Friends) are served in a happy and wholesome way, that tables and chairs are suitable, and that beverages are provided. Liturgy (Chair: Pete Nordloh & Lynn Ringh) Coordinate all aspects (music, altar guild, ushers, liturgical leaders) and evaluate all of the liturgies of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, including the regular Sunday celebrations of the Holy Eucharist, special/seasonal liturgies, weddings, funerals, and other worship services. Outreach (Chair: Elaine Massey) Maintain and develop ministries that seek to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of people in crisis, particularly the poor, outcast, sick and lonely. Planning (Chair: William Cordell) Create and produce special (one time, annual, non-regular) parish celebrations, including festivals, recreations, parties, and other annual events. Property (Chair: Pat Caver & Mike McCurley) Take responsibility for the physical fabric of our campus buildings, their maintenance, cleaning and improvement as well as monthly workdays, and the grounds of the church. Stewardship (Chair: Jerry Galbraith) In addition to running the annual Every Member Canvass, yearlong stewardship education, time and talent surveys, and ministry recruitment. |
