Well, we're all together in Germany now and calling Ramstein Air Base our new home town. It's a beautiful country and we're having lots and lots of fun together even though we have only been here a short time. We think we have all of our affairs in order and it's almost business as usual..
Our new home is very cool. It's a 100 year old farm house that has been upgraded and remodeled over the years into the home we have today. Still has the original staircase that was installed when first constructed...creaks like heck but still a neat part of the home. We also managed to strike a deal with a local German fella that owns the orchard behind our home. We take care of the landscape and in turn he lets us use it as our own yard, since he's only around about once a month. Its a huge yard to mow, but its a small price to pay for the space. We also built a good size dog pen for Sophie back there...not sure if she likes it or not.
Kids are all doing great in school and sports so far. Plus Scouts and Junior Honor Society events makes for some busy nights. We miss you all! Take care! Hope to see you soon! |
