The beginning of my site
Before I had a computer I made a homemade book to display at the county fair to share many things about the joys and responsibilities of rabbit raising and pet ownership as well. The "Beginning of Carousel Rabbitry" Is the first page in the book that I made. I spent a lot of time putting my feelings and facts down on paper and wording it just right. What you read in this site are my true feelings and thoughts. Nothing here is copied off of any other site or book that is not mine. The VERY few things that you find here that are not my pages or phrases are given credit to the author.
When my cousin, Katina, gave me her computer since she was getting a new one, I couldn't wait to get my site up and running. With a lot of hard work and mess ups and help from my neighbor, Rollins, I soon had my front page up and was learning as much as I could as to how to put up a wonderful site. To help me out, Rollins typed out "The Beginning of Carousel Rabbitry" on my front page for me as I read out to him exactly what I had written in my home made book. My front page is my favorite page of my site because on it, it explains how my rabbitry started and my early thoughts that are still the same. I think the question I get most from people are "Why rabbits" and my answer is still the same today as it was then.
I love to share my experiences and help people make the right decision for them. I like to even try to help people understand their buns when I can. I think it is especially fun to see someone start out right whether it be for a rabbitry or pet because of my help and see how exited they are to get that first bunny. The buying of cages and dishes is even exiting for them. For the rabbitry beginner, the first litter is something to be remembered forever.
All content on this site other then many of the graphics is made by Stefanie Apel and are property of Carousel Rabbitry and are the opinions of this rabbitry and may not be copied to another site. If you do find something here that you really like and want to display on your site you must first get permission then you need to give me credit when displaying my words or photo's and link to me, I will link to you in return. Don't be an internet thief. Nobody likes to have the words stolen out of their mouth.
Note:
What happens when you steel from a site
There is a rabbitry site that has copied word for word bits and pieces of "The Beginning of Carousel Rabbitry" on my front page. At first I was VERY upset with this. Even though I am still not happy about it I have calmed down quite a bit. Just a note for you to know what this feels like. I was proud if my home page because they are my words and a unique way of describing my experience with my buns. Now that someone has copied me I feel as though they are no longer my words. This isn't something making my front page unique any longer because they are on someone else's site as though they are their words. It also says at the bottom of their page that all content was made for that site and may not be copied, it is even copy righted, That just puts a final punch in it. I do feel stolen from and feel disrespected as well. I don't want someone to think I have copied as I do have proof that they were mine long before this site was even made and was copied from my own pages that I wrote to the site when it was being made. It is upsetting and I think about it when ever I look at my home page even though I would rather not think about it at all. I don't like to look over my front page any longer as it is a page I don't like much now because I don't want to think about my words being claimed as someone else's. I don't know what else to say. Its a big deal to me and many others who know how much work it is to put a site up and maintain it. I just wanted you to know what it feels like on this end.
