Since the beginning of my reef obsession, I have admired the clownfish, anemone relationship. I set up this 30 gallon long tank almost a year ago to serve solely as an anemone tank.
Up until recently it has run great. The BTA was added July 2001 and has doubled in size. The Clarkiis immediately took to it. It took a few months for them to solve their dominance issues, but they have clearly settled into their roles.
The tank is lit by a 175 watt 10,000k Metal Halide and 2 50/50 normal output bulbs. I feed heavily to keep the clarkiis in optimal health. The BTA is fed at least once a week and readily accepts food.
I am currently undergoing a hair algae outbreak, which I attribute to heavy feedings and the lack of a skimmer on this tank. I'm currently planning on adding a skimmer soon :)
