Welcome to Vancouver, British Columbia! There are plenty of things to see and do here, where the city life meets the great outdoors! Here are a few of our favourite places...
THE MOUNTAINS:
Grouse Mountain
-One of the "city mountains," Grouse is only 15 minutes from downtown. Take the skyride to the top and enjoy incredible views of the city, the mountains, and the ocean. Or, climb the world-famous Grouse Grind! (not for the faint of heart!)
Whistler-Blackcomb
-An hour and a half drive from the city, Whistler is a must-see! Explore the Village, play in the snow in August at the peak, and bask in the sun at the local lakes. (Don't miss the lake at Rainbow Park, our favourite!)

THE BEACHES:
English Bay
Located  downtown, there's several beaches in this area as you walk along the Stanley Park seawall
Wreck Beach
A nude beach at UBC -and quite a... unique experience!
Kitsilano Beach
"The" place to be! B-Ball, Beach volleyball, and endless people-watching!
White Rock
A cute little beach town, White Rock is definitely worth checking out!
ALSO SEE:
1000 acres of nature - right downtown! Walk around the seawall and see the beaches, or check out the trails and the Aquarium!
Stanley Park
Chinatown -See Canada's largest Chinatown, and the world's thinnest building!!
Other PARKS
Robson Street -shopping!
Historic Gastown Granville Island
A public market with great sights and shops
Museum of Anthropology -at UBC
Tourist Tip: Get from place to place easily (or take a great little sightseeing cruise), using the False Creek Ferries or the Aquabus!
