What's Hidden In The Midden?
Welcome to Mr. Loftis' U.S. History & World History class.  This webpage was developed for the students & PARENTS. In years past  my students have taken advantage of the usful information that is given on this website.  However,  sometimes parents do not get involved as much as I would like.  I believe this is because the students do not give the parents the information that they needed.  This will be my goal for the coming year.  I would like this website to be useful for the parents as well as the students.
So,  what can you expect to get out of this website?  Well,  parents & students will have unlimited access to their grades,  helpful links to help with classroom assignments,  pictures of students at work,  and a jeopardy review game before each  test. You can even get a copy of my syllabus or a calendar of events.
Most of the stories that your son or daughter will tell you is true about me,  I am tough and I expect a great deal from ALL of my students,  but there is no guess work in my class.  This website is an example of this.  Your son or daughter should have a good idea what their grade is at all times.  I usually grade papers on the weekend and post the grades on the website Sunday afternoon.  No,  you will not see a letter grade or a percentage because I want my students to average them for themselves.
Students will be wise to take advantage of the jeopardy review before every chapter test.  I construct the jeopardy game myself using the objectives that
WILL be tested.  I try very hard to put the game up a couple days before the test so that students will have a few days to look over the information.
