Stephens Favourite Movies
Ok, you may not really care all that much about my tatse in movies, but I tend to go to the cinema an awful lot, so thought that I may as well document my favourite flicks.  Only problem is that I like loads of movies and think it might be really difficult to put down my all time favourtie films, therefore this list is NOT definitive it will change, and probably doesn't really even reflect my opinion all that well
Moulin Rouge: I know that a lot of people hate this movie, but it is one which I tend to return to over and over again.  I like the fact that it reinvented the musical and made it cool again.  The songs in it are really funny, and it always cheers me up!

Rocky Horror Picture Show:
I only discovered this film a year ago and think its fantastic, yes its another musical, but I don't really know if its fair to describe it as such, its just a big sureal experience!

The Godfather Parts I and II: I wonder if its perhaps a bit cliche for an Italian to rate the Godfather as one of my favourite films but it is.  I absolutely loved the book, and I do think that this was one of the best book to film conversions I've ever seen.  The acting, music, cinematography, it was all just excellent!
Ok these will change, and are not nesecarily movies which I really like, but just ones that I have seen recently!

Troy:  Saw this the other day, I thought it was an alright film, the acting was good, but the script was a bit poor making the actors sound a bit dumb!  Its also a bit on the long side, but its a popcorn movie and you don't expect much more when you go in.  Gladiator 2 it is not!

Kill Bill Volume 2:  This is completely different in style to the first volume and I feel all the better for it.  It has pastiche towards Hitchcock which is always fun, and ending, while predictable is good, and totally inkeeping with the spirit of Zatoichi films.

UGC In GLasgow, Its a beast!
The UGC Cinema.  Oh my god how much I love this place.  I think I almost treat it like a holy temple.  I'm usually there at least once a week, its definately the best cinema I've been to.  Its got 18 screens so theres always something worth watching, and they offer an unlimited card, (which I have) which means I can go as often as I want, woo-hoo!  If your in Glasgow you must go, even just to be dumbfounded by its sheer size!
