Steve Beck is VMware’s Senior Manager responsible for Worldwide Managed Service programs. He joined VMware to implement a global Professional Services Residency program and has successfully done so. He has more recently taken on additional responsibility for implementing a global service practice around critical enterprise application performance within a virtualized environment as well as a Custom Application Support and Developer Support service offering.

Prior to joining VMware, Steve was the Vice President of Services at Apprion Inc. where he built the company’s Professional Services, Customer Support, and Remote Management and Monitoring businesses. Prior to Apprion, Steve spent seven years at RSA Security’s Data Security Division where he created and managed their highly profitable Professional Services and Customer Support business. Prior to joining RSA, Steve spent two and a half years in a similar role, successfully building a Professional Services organization at Entegrity Solutions.

Steve is in accomplished expert in the enterprise information systems business, architecting, designing, implementing, and managing the development and delivery of complex information systems. He has deep and broad experience in security, applications architecture, system design, and development, and operating systems. He is highly experienced in project leadership, complex system integration, and short and long-range business planning. He also is the patent-pending inventor of an anti-phishing, anti-spam system design based on the use of Public Key Infrastructure.

Steve graduated from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management’s Executive Development Program. He received his B.S. in Computer Science from Brown University and his M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
