Interesting Notes:

Donated in 1985 to Mercy Ships and renamed M.V.  Good Samaritan, and in 1993, was renamed again the M.V. Island Mercey and serves mainly Central/South America.  Basically used as a ship to provide medical care within the South Pacific.  Her shallow draft allows her access to where the larger mercy ships can't reach

Suggested as having the most illustrious career of the four Mercy Ships.  She carried cargo and personnel to the Pan-American games for the U.S. Olympic committee in 1991.

She became the first ship to legally sail from the United States and Cuba in 30 years (1991)
