Pengfei Song
Hi, Welcome to my Homepage! I'm a Ph.D candidate of the Department of Biological Sciences in Michigan Technological University (Here's a video)in Houghton. I volunteer some of my time in the Little Brothers in this beautiful little town. I got my B.A. and B.E. degrees from Tianjin (Peiyang) University in the year 2000. My classmates are all over the world now, but I know what they are doing. My Master's work was on the recombinant expression of Nitrate Reductase. Currently, I am interested in identifying the genes involved in pyrene degradation in the Pseudomonads. P. fluorescence, P. putida and P. stutzeri strains are studied in our lab. I also work on Acidithiobacilus. ferrooxidans to identify the rate-limiting enzymes in the ferrous oxidation pathway. I will continue to update my resume on-line, in case you're curious.

Besides work, I take an active part in community events. As for hobbies, I like camping, cross-country skiing, painting, photography, playing harmonica, racquet ball, rollerblading, swimming..., pretty much everything. I dabble in graphic art, but can't claim any special accomplishments.
