December 23, 2002
Okay, once again I apologize for my lack of consistent updates, but that's what you get when you have a dial-up modem through AOL at home. I dont really remember where I left off, so I'll start somewhere and figure out what happened.
Wed....went to see Lin....he seems to be doing pretty good. Saw amazing race at his home, I want to apply to that gameshow sometime. (Once I hit the age of 21)
Friday (Dec. 20) led worship w/ the college people again for the college people only though. Rehearsed about 2 hours before that, and the entire set lasted about 1.5 hours. Dude....I got tired afterwards....but it was totally awesome just praising God and hanging out w/ people returning from their schools.
Saturday....hmm....did nothing....but I did go to Shereen's for her BDay party. It was totally cool....cuz we sang a ton of kareoke (is that spelled right?) for ~5 hours...hehe....and I can't sing. (Took Gospel Choir for nothing) But yea....had an awesome time just talking and hanging out w/ the 4 idiots (minus Kenny), Janine, Shereen, and Will. Oh...met Marcy's older bro who goes to a school in Chicago...seems like a cool guy....(saw him again at Dalons on Sunday)
Sunday....church. Dressed up for some reason ( oh yea....cuz I felt like it....and cuz it's almost Christmas) So...continued the apologetics classes w/ issues about cults etc....The service was also interesting like last week. The Christmas Choir sang songs...and they sounded really great! Too bad we dont have a musical this year. :( So after some Christmas carols/songs, had an interesting skit/drama by the youth (woah....I'm not a youth anymore) and Pluke's sermon about the scenery of Jesus' birth. (I've never heard a sermon like that before)
So afterwards....went to PD's for the college fellowship social. Once again....had tons of fun...ate great food. (Thanks to the advisors and hosts who prepared the stuff! It was delicious!) So after watching the Chargers loose to the Chiefs (dude....they Chargers are basically out of the playoffs :( ) Watched Steve and Kenny try to recreate the game on Madden 2003. Hehe....Okay....so....food, games and more socializing. Candy led some great icebreakers (I ended up sharing about the Orchestra Trip experience of doing situps w/o a shirt on while riding an elevator....) Slight Disclaimer: I was there, but ultimately did not prevail w/ the dare. (I couldnt think of anything else that seemed unbelievable)
Okay...so today (monday) saw Two Towers. Awesome movie! (Some of the previews were interesting too: Dumb and DumberER, and the one w/ Jim Carrey as God for a week. Afterwards,  went shopping for gifts, and cleaned up around the house upon getting home. Thats it for now.
