2nd Texas Infantry, N.-S.S.A.
Co. K (Texana Guards)
We were the first North-South Skirmish Association unit from Texas. Our application was accepted by the N-SSA Board in August 2001 and we stood our inspection on Oct. 5 of that year during the 104th Nationals at Ft. Shennandoah in Winchester VA (below). We have since gone inactive with the N-SSA, but have reactivated a membership with the Civil War Skirmish Association. During our four year stent with the N-SSA, we never failed to medal at any Deep South Regional skirmish we attended.
