We had a BOY!!!

August 26, 2001 - John and I broke down and bought a home pregnancy test for the second time in our married life--but this time the results were positive!  About 2 weeks later I went to the emergency room(because I was fearing a miscarriage)and everything was fine!  We saw the baby's heartbeat on the monitor and got to see it's little Gummy Bear shape!  I'm 7 weeks along so far!  We are sooo excited! UPDATE: 03/05/02 - I'm 8 months along!

What's in a name?: Josiah

Name:  Since John and I first started dating we have always known that we would name our son "Josiah". Little did we know, that this was more than just a unique name that tickled both of our ears...After finding out it was a boy--I started researching the name Josiah and have had confirmation after confirmation that this is the best name for our little boy. Josiah means "God has healed" and after reading in 2 Kings 23--I have found that Kind Josiah was an incredible man of God...who did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, and walked in the ways of his father David, not turning aside to the right or to the left.  And after reading Josiah's story I was really impressed that he also lived in fear of God...knowing his power, yet knowing his love.... I pray this for our son...

Middle Name: Evan?

We are considering the middle name of Evan--which means "Young Warrior" in Irish.  We are naming Josiah with the initials of J.E.B. like his daddy...John Edward Blake.  So, Evan is up for debate..along with other E names that I will post later....any suggestions?  Please sign our guestbook with your suggestion ;)
