Why This Site Exists
I made this site in an attempt to offer one way to help fill in a void that appears to exist in our society.  That void being where spirituality and the intellect meet.  I only say this because I myself, who was raised as a Christian, never was exposed to the theological side of the religion.  I assume that to be pretty typical, however.  I thought faith alone was all Christianity was based on.  There is nothing wrong with that, and if faith alone brings you to God, that is a good thing.

Odds are, there are other people out there who want to believe, but find their intellect getting the way.  The good news is that the intellect will be satisfied and your life transformed for the better.  The bad news is that most people do not realize this.  Most people do not even know what apologetics is, or do not realize it is probably something they should have a decent understanding of.  A building is only as strong as the foundation it is built on, as is faith.  A weak foundation will fall apart when pressure is exerted against it.

Back to the void.  How did this come about?  I am not sure, but I have an idea.  Until the past century or so, there was little competing thought with the standard dogma of faith.  People in general just seemed to assume that their faith was indeed the truth.  However, while the world around us became more complex and dark, perhaps the Christian faith took for granted the blind faith that had prevailed in the masses for so long and just assumed it would continue.

This site offers one way to fill the void, or at least bring it to attention.  People do in fact hunger for truth; it is just a matter of sending them in the right direction.  Unfortunately, Christianity often times is the last place an individual will want to look.
