| I was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I attended elementary school K-4 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I attended elementary 5-6 and middle school 7-8 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I attended high school 9-12 in Edmond, Oklahoma. I attended the University of Washington at Seattle, the University of Tulsa, Central State University, and Tulsa Junior College. I have a double major in Biology and Commercial Art and received my BA from the University of Tulsa. I worked as a commercial artist in Tulsa until moving to Dallas to teach in DISD. |
| I got my certificate in secondary education from the University of Langston. In Oklahoma and Texas I am certified to teach Biology, Comprehensive Science and Art. I was hired by the Dallas Independent School district to teach High School Biology. I taught middle school art for one year. I taught middle school comprehensive science until 2004/2005. I took one year out to recuperate from my first heart attack and first two angioplasty surgeries in 2000/2001. I returned to teaching middle school comprehensive science in the 2001/2002 school year. I took disability retirement on October 1, 2005. |
| My Hobbies and Interests include (in no particular order): Deborah Harry and Blondie, Tennessee Williams, Egyptology, the antebellum South, the British Royal Family, science fiction, alternative rock music, the music of the late Israeli singer Ofra Haza, Art Deco and film. My creative energy is directed through painting, drawing, and writing. |
| Personal statistics: 5'10", slender 170 pounds (but it fluctuates), blue eyes, long auburn hair, Jewish (Reform) with interests in Kabalah. I am single. I have a cat. I own a home in far East Dallas which I share with my dear friend Vincent. My parents, eldest sister, eldest niece and children, and nephew live in Oklahoma. My eldest sister's second daughter currently live in Oklahoma but has a job offer in Los Angeles. My younger sister and youngest niece live in Alaska. I have aunts, and cousins living in Oklahoma, Texas and Washington State. |
