In learning to program, as with learning anything really, it is often helpful to see examples of code in action.
Not only do examples serve as good references but they also show what can be achieved by the language.

The scripts listed below are taken from my DEBUGGED site.
They are fairly basic in many respects, and should give help to those who have never use JavaScript before.

Each script comes with an explanation of what it does, taking you step-by-step through a worked example of how the program operates.

The guides assume knowledge of HTML input tags and modest programming experience.
If you have not used HTML input tags before, there is a guide to the most common objects in my HTML guide.
JavaScript is not a complex language and writting simple scripts can even be achieved by the most computer-phobic person. There are beginner guides to JavaScript for non-programmers.

Note: in order to execute these scripts you will need a JavaScript1.1 compatible browser.
