Hi there again folks.
Just to bring everyone up to date about how Kim and I arrived at this point, I
figured I would give a little timeline explaining the RCMP application
procedure.
May 2003
Wrote the RPAT (Entrance exam)
June 2003
Received my application package after scoring high enough on the RPAT.
August 2003
Ran the PARE test for the first time. Finished in 4 minutes, 1 second.
August 2003
Had corrective laser surgery on both my eyes. (A WONDERFUL procedure, I might add)
August 2003
Submitted my application package for consideration.
September 2003
Received notification that I needed to complete all the medical evalutations, including blood work, hearing tests, dental exams (with 25 x-rays), EKG heart test, blah blah blah.
December 2003
Had my interview at "K" Division headquarters in Edmonton. It took 3 hours but I passed so that's all I was worried about. Now was when they started the background check.
December 2003 to August 2004
Background check.
February 2004
Ran the PARE test for a second time. Finished in 3 minutes, 45 seconds.
August 2004
Got the call from "K" Division Recruiting that I had been accepted into the Cadet Training Program in Regina and would start sometime in October. They will call back in September to give me a firm start date.
August 25, 2004
Today! Nothing happened today. It isn't noteworthy, at least not in my sphere of existence.
If you have any questions about the details of the application procedure, please
email me. Most of you know that this timeline doesn't really do any justice to
the number of hoops you have to jump through to get to this stage.

Hi there everyone. Thanks for checking out my new site. My cousin, Jason,
has taken on the task of gracious webmaster so that I can keep you all
informed of my progress at Depot so if you have any complaints about the
site, please yell at him instead of me. Just kidding.
Any feedback you have would be greatly appreciated. I will be doing my
best to keep the news section current and posting new pictures as often as
I can but if you want the newest and best info, you'll have to email me directly.
My email address is posted in the CONTACT section of the site so whenever you
feel led to send a few words of encouragement to me or Kim, we would love to
hear from you. In the mean time, check out the RCMP site and link to the Depot
Training site from there to learn about all the fun I will be experiencing
during the next few months. Check back often and let me know what you think
of the site. Bye for now.
