Handmade Miniature Furniture
Hi,
I would like to start off this page with a very big Thank You to Bryan Hilton and Keith Walker, who have shown me nothing but patience and guidance, two nicer chaps you couldn't wish to meet.

Please take the time to visit Bryan's website, and Keith is currently working on one.. many thanks guys
On this page you will see my attempts to recreate some furniture of bygone times. I have used pine and oak at the moment, and hope to use more expensive wood as i progress and become more skilled. As i have only been doing this since February 02, i have not done much as yet.

i have tried to find a balance between speed of picture loading and a decent picture quality... here's hoping.

Table / Chair
After trying the chairs, i decided to try my hand at a table,  so i chose to do a Tudor Refectory Table, not only will it look good with the chairs, but can also be put outside a pub, or in a garden.

Oak Coffer
circa 1600
A table-chair like this one, would have been commonplace in the 17th and 18th centuries, as kitchen or hall furniture.

Oak Settle
This type of furniture would be best at home in a country cottage, village pub, or the kitchen of a large house..
This coffer started life as a humble storage chest in the 17th century,  and would have been built plank by plank as wider wood was difficult to come by,  but would have been a collectors item in any later period house .
This type of Settle was popular in the 17th century, it would have been found in Manor houses and large town houses up to Georgian times, mainly as a bed, for the staff.

Oak Dresser
This piece of furniture is traditional, and full sized pieces are still very popular today. Placed in a kitchen or dining room, this dresser compliments any period house.
