Downloading - June 19999
Our topic this month is downloading, specifically downloading files using your web browser.
I am using Internet Explorer 4.72.3110 as I am compiling this information, so any screen prints or specific instructions will apply to this specific version of Internet Explorer only. I have been told that Netscape uses very similar instructions.
First you need to search for the file you wish to download and there are many sites offering software, images, sounds, etc., which may be downloaded.
For the purposes of this hand out, I will be downloading the free utility "EasyZip 2000" I found on the Zdnet site (www.zdnet.com).
