| Peace Corps Experience Mali, Africa Sept 2005 - Sept 2007 |

| I had the privilege of serving in Mali Africa between September 2005 and September 2007. By living and working there, my life changed. I was personally touched by the rich culture and friendly people. My mind opened to the conditions that 80% of the world lives in. My work was as a ‘small & medium business consultant’, - I supported the Ministry of Economics and Finance in their microfinance program. - I supported non-governmental organizations (NGOs) - I supported small businesses. - I met a small businessman and his family in Africa’s largest slum, Kibera in Kenya - I studied elephants on an ecotourism safari - On the shore of the Atlantic Ocean, I visited a house that was used to detain slaves. Refer to the links below to read weekly stories and see pictures of my experience. |
