BUCKINGHAMSHIRE
church of st peter and st paul
The ghost associated with this church was seen on very few occasions during the 20th century. He has been described as a man dressed in Medieval costume, who appears to glide into the church only to disappear near a memorial plaque on the wall. The first reported sighting was shortly after World War II, when the church organist, busy practising for Sunday morning worship, saw the figure enter the church and vanish. Then some ten years later the same thing happened, only this sighting was reported by a lone woman who was arranging flowers for the altar. Finally a visitor to the graveyard in 1970 reported seeing a figure enter the church. Intrigued and puzzled by the unusual clothing the man was wearing, he attempted to follow, but within the blink of an eye the man he had seen was gone.
