| The tale behind the haunting of Pengethley Manor dates back to 1816 when the Hertfordshire hotel nearly burned down in a fire. Tragically, the family living there at the time had a little girl called Harriet who got trapped in the fire and died. It’s rumoured that Harriet now haunts the main building of the hotel and regularly performs mischievous tricks on guests and staff alike in an attempt to recapture her lost childhood... |
