LCHS Demolition:
The Walls Come Tumbling Down

PAGE 2

Siamese Twins Soon To Be Seperated

The newer 1957 addition of the school is on the far left and here it joins the old 1922 school that is being demolished. If memory serves, Mr. Habermehl and Mrs. Wicks had a small office on the upper left of the old building and that is the old physics lab in the upper right with Mr. Sparns U.S. History classroom below.

Unbelievable!!!!!

The old high school is disappearing fast. Do you think the front entrance is still standing under that rubble?.

Let's Have Class Outside Today, Boys and Girls!

It looks like there is only one wall left to go in back, and the rubble is being cleaned up very fast. I have no idea how long all this took. I will have to try and find out.

The Wrecking Ball Stands Victorious!

Heres's another photo during the latter stages of the demolition. Kinda looks like a junkyard, huh? The Greyhounds were no match for the Wrecking Balls in this match.

The Flag Pole Still Stands In Front

The flagpole was left standing, but everything else has been brought down to earth.

Holy Cow! Wasn't There A School Here Once?

Amazing the earth has not seen the light of day here since 1922 or before. Looks strange doesn't it?

Denny Symer photos were graciously provided by Leslie Lanter.
