7. The Dundies 9/20/05 - After the annual staff Dundies awards is redlined by Corporate, Michael is uncertain if he can produce the calibre of evening his staff have come to expect. Pam meanwhile develops second thoughts about her engagement to Roy while watching video footage of old Dundies award nights. 8. Sexual Harassment 9/27/05 - Michael fears that a new Corporate crackdown on sexual harassment will dampen his reputation as the office "forward king", as his best friend Todd Packer visits the office. Michael is desperate to find a new killer joke that will make everyone regret the new policies while Dwight attempts to create his own email forwarding glory. |

9. Office Olympics 10/4/05 - While Michael and Dwight are out of the office for the day trying to close a deal on a new condo for Michael, Jim and Pam arrange for the staff to participate in an "Office Olympics," where the workers play strange, invented games (among them, Dunderball, Hate Ball, and Flonkerton) that they usually play while the boss is out. At the end of the day, the festivities cheer up everyone - even the oblivious Michael. 10. The Fire 10/11/05 - The office is forced into the parking lot for the day when a fire starts in the kitchen. To ease everyone's boredom, Jim suggests a game of "Desert Island" and "Who Would You Do?," where certain staff members reveal a little too much information about themselves. Throughout the day, Michael talks business with Ryan, leaving Dwight feeling left out. 11. Halloween 10/18/05 - While everyone else in the office enjoys the spooky Halloween festivities and talks about the staff's costumes, Michael ponders who he should fire when the threat of downsizing becomes a reality and his boss orders him to fire one of his staff. Meanwhile, Jim and Pam put Dwight's resume on job-searching websites, which may make Michael's job a little easier, and Pam encourages Jim to set his goals higher by applying for a better job, which makes Jim consider his friendship with Pam. 12. The Fight 11/1/05 - When Dwight embarrasses Michael by punching him in the stomach at work, Jim organizes a lunchtime rematch at Dwight's Dojo. Meanwhile, Pam becomes embarrassed when some coworkers see Jim getting a little too physical with her, Ryan updates the emergency contact information on a "secret mission," and Michael annoys Ryan after he gets a hold of Ryan's cell phone number. 13. The Client 11/8/05 - When Michael and Jan try to nail down a potential new client, Christian, by taking him out to Chili's, Michael surprises everyone with what - or who - he does. Meanwhile, back at the office, Pam finds a semi-autobiographical script that Michael has written called Threat Level: Midnight, and she and Jim invite Phyllis, Kevin, and the rest of the Dunder-Mifflin workers to act it out. 14. Performance Review 11/15/05 - Michael meets with all of his employees to discuss their performance in the office so far. However, Michael focuses more on getting feedback about his relationship with Jan than whether or not the workers are doing their job. Meanwhile, Jim and Pam try to keep Dwight under the wrong impression that the day is Friday instead of Thursday. 15. E-Mail Surveillance 11/22/05 - Michael starts monitoring the emails sent out in the Dunder-Mifflin workplace, upsetting the employees. Meanwhile, Pam believes that the relationship between Dwight and Angela is more than just worker to worker, Jim throws an office BBQ at his house in order to show his roommate the kinds of people he deals with everyday, and Michael, after annoying everyone at his improv class, crashes Jim's party with a terrible karaoke number. 16. Christmas Party 12/6/05 - Michael hosts a Christmas party at the office, but somehow manages to decrease the holiday cheer when he changes the arranged secret Santa pairs to a game of "Yankee Swap," where everyone gives their pre-bought presents to a different, random worker. To boost morale, Michael introduces vodka shots while the others compete for an iPod, Jim hopes that his sentimental present, meant for Pam, doesn't end up with Dwight, and Angela becomes enraged about Michael's party changes. 17. Booze Cruise 1/5/06 - Michael sends the Dunder-Mifflin crew on a "motivational" cruise. 18. The Injury 1/12/06 - Michael burns his foot while grilling bacon on his George Foreman grill. When Dwight leaves the office to "rescue" him, he crashes his car and suffers a concussion. 19. The Secret 1/19/06 - Because Jim fears Michael will tell the others he likes Pam, he pretends to be Michael's best friend. Meanwhile, Dwight "investigates" Oscar's absence from work. 20. The Carpet 1/26/06 - When someone deposits an odorous substance on the carpet in Michael's office, he spends the day at Jim's desk - relocating Jim to a back room with Kelly. 21. Boys and Girls 2/2/06 - Corporate forces the female Dunder Mifflin employees to attend a "women in the workplace" seminar, conducted by Jan. Michael (in retaliation) assembles all the men in the warehouse for a "men in the workplace" seminar. 22. Valentine's Day 2/9/06 - Michael spends Valentine's Day in a meeting with other branch managers at Corporate in New York City as varied levels of romance occur back in the Scranton office. 23. Dwight's Speech 3/2/06 - Dwight is named Dunder Mifflin Salesman of the Year and is terrified about the speech he must make at a big convention. 24. Take Your Daughter to Work Day 3/16/06 - When Dunder Mifflin employees bring their daughters into work, Michael begins to express his good nature toward children. 25. Michael's Birthday 3/30/06 - Michael tries various ruses to get the staff interested in his birthday, but they're more concerned about Kevin's test for skin cancer. 26. Drug Testing 4/27/06 - Dwight demands drug testing to find out who left half of a joint in the parking lot. Following a jinx, Pam forces Jim not to speak. 27. Conflict Resolution 5/4/06 - Michael takes it upon himself to facilitate conflict resolution by reading all of the complaints aloud to the office, which causes more office tension. 28. Casino Night 5/11/06 - The warehouse is converted into a casino for a charity casino night and Michael accidentally winds up with two dates (both Carol and Jan). Meanwhile, Jim alters the dynamic of his friendship with Pam through a confession at the end of the night. Major cliffhanger ending. |
