WHOBA's history :
It goes back a long way ! The Westmount High Old Boys Association as most WHS male students knew it for most of the 20th century, was established in 1936 for the benefit of all male alumni of Westmount High School(s), in Westmount, Quebec, Canada.
Because of it's history, WHOBA decided to keep it's abbreviated name ..... kind of like International Business Machines kept IBM.
WHOBA Membership:
At it's 2002 Spring Annual General Meeting, WHOBA made a 'sea change' and officially declare it's activities, benefits and membership open to ALL male and female WHS past students, teachers and staff.
WHOBA's Mission Statement:
- to assure that Westmount High School retains its respected physical presence, its name, its spirit and its high level of scholarship.
-to perpetuate the remembrance of all Westmount High School alumni who made the supreme sacrifice in the military service of their country, Canada.
- to support the defined objectives of Westmount High School
- to encourage and facilitate the ongoing enjoyment and other benefits of high school friendships that were established both during the period we were students at Westmount High School and after.
Remembrance Day Service (Nov. 11th)
We were glad to see a good turn out of WHOBA members, grade 11 students and the WHS staff, for the 2008 Service. Read about it in the WHOBA 2009 Newsletter and consider attending this year . All alumni are welcome.
WHOBA 's Newsletter
The Newsletter Is sent out each Spring and includes an invitation to WHOBA's Annual Spring Banquet and AGM. It is sent to all WHOBA members by email or by regular mail if preferred. So make sure we have your current addresses.

IT WAS A GREAT SUCCESS ! !
THE WHOBA's AGM and 2009 Reunion Dinner was held on Friday, May 15th, 2009, at WHS, 4350 Ste Catherine Street West. Drinks at 5:30 pm, school tour at 6:30 pm and the Dinner and AGM from 7 tom 9:30 pm .
