Dear Leon, I work for the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank NJ. The theatre is need of repairs and funds to make the repairs. Would you be willing to do a benefit concert at our theatre inbetween your tour dates on October 2nd. If it is something you think you could do, we will contact your tour manager to set he date. Ears strained to hear the light trickle— out in some dense wood, alone, each of us— trickle begins to rush, cascade, torrent— The aging sun-spotted paws left the keys and we left the woods and rushed the stage. Yo, what a pleasant surprise! That is, finding your website. Leon, I've been a fan for about20-22 years. I've always loved 'LeonLive' best though. There's just something about them three records that keeps them fresh every listen. I think it's a comb nation of things, but mostly it's the pure soul and energy that comes through. I've been a Leon Russell fan ever since I can remember. I'm 34 years old and I find that most of my peers have never even heard of him. What a shame!!!! Although there are some really great artists out there today, none compare with what Leon has to of er. Sometimes I think I was born in the wrong generation. Stevie, What a pleasure your site has been to me this morning. I have been lovin me some Leon since 1970. Then he absolutly blew me away in 1972 when he brought Rev. Patrick Henderson to the tour. I'll never forget those opposing pianos and the fantasi c music they made together. I determined the next day to make music my life and have been playing percussion and singing back-up vocals ever since. Hi! I was lucky enough to seen Leon perform a couple of years ago at the Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton, Massachusetts. Any plans to be back this way soon? I know alot of people (longtime fans) who would love to be able to see Leon again. It was a great show that ended much too quickly, and everyone who attended I'm sure would agree. I've admired Leon and his music for many years; I remember watching him years ago on Austin City Limits on PBS. I wonder how many people remember that? I also think it's way past time that VH1 should do one of ther "Legends" stories about Leon Russell. Who better qualifies as a "Legend" than he? LEON RUSSELL!!!! First performer I ever saw in concert, during the 'Carney' tour at the University of Detroit memorial building. I wasn't even old enough to drive, so had to get my 'cool' aunt to drive myself and a friend. Was wearing my sister's skate key on a chain, which I threw onstage, and which Leon put on and wore for a song or two! (My Mom was sure irritated as my sister couldn't use her skates-lol) What a fabulous show! I've seen my share of concerts, but none equals that incredible moment in time. Have seen Leon play many more times, also w/ Edgar and crew. He's my favorite, always has been and always will. I also enjoy my autographed deck of playing cards one of my wonderful friends picked up for me at one of Leon's shows, which I couldn't attend. Leon's son was selling them from the tour bus. Last of all, my copy of the first album with the infamous banned Shelter records logo with the inverted Superman insignia. Stolat means "May you live 100 years" in Polish, and that's my wish for Leon and all his music. Always the best, thanks for all the years of the greatest music!

I WONDER WHEN WE CAN GET A VAN MORRISON TYPE TRIBUTE GOING FOR LEON... I CANT IMAGINE ANY STAR WHO WOULDNT BENEFIT FROM AN ASSOCIATION WITH HIS MAGICAL MUSIC. I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR LINDA RONDSTADT AND LEON REMAKE SOME OF THE OLD NEW ORLEANS STYLE DUETS LIKE HE AND MARIA MULDAIR HAVE DONE IN THE PAST. MY FAVORITE LEON SONG IS A SONG HE WROTE FOR STREISAND BORN 20 DAYS LATER, LOST INSIDE OF YOU ON THE STAR IS BOR ALBUM... I WOULD KILL TO SEE LEON AND EDGAR IN CONCERT...THE SAVE OUR PLANET ALBUM AND LEON LIVE SPEAK TO ME AGAIN OF HOPE FOR THE FUTURE,,,WE NEED SOME CHURCH PEOPLE,,, CROSBY STILLS AND NASH AND YOUNG ARE TOURING.. I THINK LEON WOULD MAKE A GREAT ADDITION TO THE LINEUP...ALL POSITIVITY..

I would like to see a performance schedule. I live in Springfield, MO and haven't seen Leon for a number of years, last time in Dallas TX when I lived there, met him backstage at Palladium, late 70's, early 80's, sometime in there.
