Guidelines for writing a resume
1.  Keep it simple.
2.  Put your address, name, e-mail address, phone etc. on the top
3. DO NOT PUT your photo or your age or birthdate or marital status.
4.  Use sentences to describe your responsibilities.
5.  Put your education last.  DO NOT include the schools before you were 18 years of age.  ONLY University courses.
6.  It's okay to include volunteer work.

LANGUAGES

I am looking for a challenging job in an English language school.


I was responsible for purchasing and training of new teachers about technology in the ESOL classroom.  I assist in activities and in the creation of new curriculum.



I was responsible for traiing new teachers and for developing new activities for students.  I also make websites using www.oocities.org



My responsibilities included:  a weekly budget update for the assistant secretary, a newsletter once a month, and corresponsdence for alternative fuel vehicles.


I was responsible for three departments of the monthly edition (features, personnel, and new products).  I assisted in developing a new method of typesetting the news.


The program included environmental protection and an internship with a local city.  I wrote my master's thesis about subsidies for electric vehicles and an extrensive reserach paper about environemntal measure s to protect neighborhoods (Neighborhood Safety Zones)..

I was the editor of the school newspaper and I participated in the soccer team (reserve goalie).  I also earned a certificate about Latin American
Studies and I spent six weeks in Chalchihuites, Mexico.

Certificate in Spanish (I achived the Intermediate level).

French (fluent), Spanish (conversational, survival skills), some Kiswahili.

You can see a different format (shape, form) of the information.
You can copy the format and type your information in the place.
You can use this EXAMPLE to create a resume for yourself.  It is a simple format.  It shows the basic information.  You can put more information in the OBJECTIVE if you want.  The idea is to give the interviewer only the title of your job, dates that you worked at the job and specific responsibilities.  Do not show how old you are and do not give more information (no photos or number of children or marriage status)....

It is a good exercise to create a resume.  Even a "future" resume (you can create information that you will use when you make a resume when you look for a job when you finish university) is a good exercise.      GOOD LUCK    ....  EXAMPLE
