[March 2001] Dee and I spent some time putting together our own website with information on how we met, the upcoming wedding in April, 2001, the groomsmen, the bridesmaids, our engagement story again, and an {{{EXCLUSIVE!!}}} secret PDA page previously sensored by Dee... For my friends back home in the sunny California, or any of you who don't already know Dee well, here is her bio, too. Drop by! |

[February 2001] Introducing my little niece Isabella Grace Tsai! She was born on Feb 8, 2001 in the sunny Southern California. Here are pics of her BIG yawn (or is it a scream?) and her proud parents and family! |

[January 2001] Here is a little treat for you guys -- the New Year's Eve gathering at the Snekviks in a puzzle format! Who were all there? You'll have to give the puzzle a shot!
[January 2001] GeoCities recently changed their guestbook feature. It took me a while to realize that and to catch up with the error it was causing. Anyway, please take a minute to sign my guestbook or to view it. The old guestbook is also accessible. Thanks. =) |

[October 2000] Our dearest friends, the Rollers moved back to Germany after three years in the Boston area. We miss them much but will do our best spamming them on the email. Check out some great portraits from the send-off! |

[August 2000] Yes, I have stepped into the next stage of manhood. I proposed to Dee on August 12, 2000 on a lake in Maine, and she said Yes! "A small step for mankind, a giant leap for Steven..." Check out the story! |

[May 2000] On April 30, 2000, Sarah was dedicated at the Cambridge Vineyard with the blessings of both her immediate and church families. Grandma Elizabeth and husband Karl were the guests of honor visiting from Stuttgart, Germany. Can you see the pride on Grandma's face? |

[May 2000] I had an opportunity to take part in a Tennessee Williams' production, "The Glass Menagerie", directed by Krista Cowan. The cast includes the Gentleman Caller, Jim O'Conner (Brian Barth), and the shy daughter with the glass menagerie, Laura (Emily Tuckman). The mother Amanda (Sharon Maguire) and the main character Tom (James Dittami, to the right) contributed a great deal to the success of the three performances at the end of April. I ad-libb'ed the background music and some sound effects on my viola. Being part of the production was better than watching any PBS documentary on the making of a show. It was a fun and educational experience. | ![]() |
[April 2000] A quick update on the little princess, Sarah. At 8 months, she is quite a "mature" and curious girl! A point of clarification: the choice of the advanced beverage was, in fact, under the strict supervision of her glaze-eyed parents who, on this particular occasion, were suspected to have had one sip too much themselves... =) Speaking of advanced food selections, here are a few more: sampling of almost-solid meal, some coffee to go with that, and of course, the good old German essential --- beer! Sarah has also gone swimming a couple of times. In spite of this picture, she really enjoyed it quite a bit as seen in this one. But at the end, it's the adults you got to keep an eye on when it comes to pool safety.... | ![]() |
[March 2000] Did I mention snowboarding as a winter hobby when it's too cold to be out on the tarmac waiting for the airplane to warm up? Yes, I have been at it for two seasons now. Here are some pics from these trips up to the north: taking a break on the slope, on the lift with Ken and Gerard, in the cabin, a little "apre-snowboarding," and a moment with Sarah. | ![]() |
[January 2000] My friends Dave Berry, Chester Liu, my girlfriend Dee Ng, and I started a string ensemble, The Doppler Shift Quartet. We have fun playing together. Shortly after all the Millenium parties, we had our debut at the Atrium Mall in Brookline, MA. A number of you came out to see us. Maybe we'll have another concert in the near future. Stay tuned. | ![]() |
[August 1999] Meet my cute little goddaughter Sarah Lotta Roller and the parents, Hannah & Matthias!!! Sarah is the cutest baby girl with the biggest curious eyes ever! Even though the Godfather looks cool and calm here, butterflies are really dancing all over the place handling this fragile new life. What do you suppose is going thru Hannah's mind with this being her first day on the job? Well, this Godfather is getting up to speed quickly, too. I am now certified in burping (... burping Sarah, that is) and diaper changing. Here are some birth stats: Born on August 12, 1999, 10:02 PM, at 7 lbs 7 oz. and 20.5 inches. | ![]() |
[June 1999] In November 1998, Central America was hit hard by the devestating Hurricane Mitch. In June 1999, I went to Honduras with 30 other friends from all over New England and participated in construction projects, medical brigades in temporary shelters, and an after-school children program in and near the capital city of Tegucigalpa. It was truly a privilege to witness the resilience of human spirit and to take part in the rebuilding of lives in such a beautiful country. |

One of the most fun and freeing thing I enjoy is flying. I got my pilot's license in 98 and have been flying on the weekends with East Coast Aero Club, a FBO at Hanscom. The aircraft I fly most often is a Piper Warrior It's a single engine propeller plane that seats 4 and cruises easily at 140 mph ground speed. I've also flown the Piper Tomahawk, Diamond Katana, and Cessna 172. | ![]() |
Here is Hanscom Airport in Bedford,
Mass, where I operate out of for my weekend flying. Pilots: need some airport aviation info on BED or a quick local weather briefing? Those of you who make frequent Logan pick-up runs, you can follow the same MassPort link and get flight status emailed or paged to you. Flying small airplanes is crazy and dangerous? Well, the stake may be high, but everything is a calculated risk, isn't it? After all, are we not all trying to manage risks and live life to the fullest? |

Sailing on the Charles River is also a great thing to do in Boston. Community Boating, Inc. is a great place to learn how to sail. I've recently gotten my helmsman rating there. My next goal is to be able to sail out into the bay on an open sea, maybe doing deep sea fishing or something... |

And then there is the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra where I played the viola for a couple of seasons. This year I am playing in a string quartet instead. CSO has half a dozen free concerts in and around Cambridge every season. The concert season is from October to April. So come check them out in the 2000 season! |

Here is a link to my church, Vineyard Christian Fellowship, Cambridge. I've never attended a church that I was more excited about. Their tag line is "Practical, Fun, Spiritual." I think that really describes who are strive to be. Come by to visit if and when you are in the Boston area. |

Forrester Research, Inc. is the company I work for. It's an exciting and fast growing company. We do cool things like predicting the future trends of technology and advising Fortune 2500 executives. I enjoy working here and my colleagues quite a bit. |
