The joy of military travel, in the back of a C-130. Actually, this is just over half full, so you can imagine what its like on a 3- hour flight packed in like sardines. This wasn't the Bulgaria trip but a pic from an earlier run to Germany. |

Of course, we couldn't stay in the hotel forever. Next day we moved to the camp. This is me first nite in the room... still fully dressed with thermal underwear and a scarf on. Took several days for the room to heat up. |
Not the greatest pic, but shows some major accomplishments. Look carefully at the tankers to the right, and our satellite dish is to the left of the white hanger. Cables connected the satellite dish to the comm equipment room inside the hanger, then over to the operations center inside the terminal that I'm standing on. |
