4/5/00 - Review of recent Space Twins concert. ***The Space Twins will release a new lp sometime this year!
June 25, 1998
Los Angeles, California. Space twins were the last band at the show, and I could tell people had stuck around to see them. Personally I had a really good view of the band ... oddly sitting on the floor right near Brian bell's microphone. I noticed that Brian gets a little crazy-like when he's performing. He bounced around a lot, and makes these faces as if he was enjoying himself to the full extent. The rest of the doods were rawking out with Brian, but not in quite more subtle ways. Some of the songs I can remember space twins playing were Osaka Aquabus, Rust Colored Sun, in love with love, goddess of love, dreaming of your love, final voyage, and I think a few others. All the songs were extremely grand. During Osaka aquabus, Brian was on keyboard instead of his guitar, and he still couldn't keep still. Final voyage, which was the last song, was obviously a song
brian wanted to get into because he was doing all these motions that went with the song, such as making a little laser gun with his hands and shooting it off, putting his fingers behind his head as Martian antenna, and so on. i really liked the song goddess of love, cause i thought it was really purdy- like. During "dreaming of your love", whenever Brian sang "I'm dreaming of your love," he would look at a random girl for the whole sentence, and usually the girls would be all happy about it. I know, cause I was one of the random girls.

After they played, my friend told me that she thought Brian Bell was sort of like a deranged Mr. Rogers when he was playing ... which is actually pretty true. Both of them have a happy energy that people really enjoy, you know. Hehe. Space twins kick arse. Yay.
