October 2001: We become a couple.
April 2002: We meet and spend a blissful two weeks together.
May 2002: Steve returns to England, and we realize that we cannot live without each other and begin discussing marriage.
June 2002: Kim meets with the International Programs Office at the university she works for and confirms that the K1 Visa is the best (and fastest) way to go.
July 2003: Steve flies back to Norfolk to spend more time with Kim and fill out the I-129F paperwork
August 14, 2003: Kim overnights the I-129F package to the Vermont Service Center
August 15, 2003: "Your item was delivered at 2:45 pm on August 15, 2003 in SAINT ALBANS, VT 05479 to INS. The item was signed for by P NOVACK."
August 20, 2003: NOA1

Current Status:

September 17, 2003: Went to check status online and it said it was not available. Called the Customer Service Number at the bottom and it said we've BEEN APPROVED! Hallelujiah!

September 22, 2003: Received official NOA2 dated 10/16/2003 in the mail today!
September 25, 2003: National Visa Center receives our file from Vermont
September 30, 2003: National Visa Center approval. Our file is on its way to London!
October 11, 2003: Steve receives Packet 3
October 17, 2003: Steve mails Packet 3 back to the US Embassy - London
November 18, 2003: Steve finally receives Packet 4 with interview date of 12/3/3!
December 3, 2003: After 112 days, Steve has his interview in London and receives his K1 Visa!
December 12, 2003: Steve flies to Washington Dulles!
December 17, 2003: Wedding day :) :)
December 18, 2003: Steve applies for his Social Security Number.
