Welcome to The St. Croix Swing Dance Class Site!

Hello! I'm Steve O'Rourke and I teach East Coast Swing in West Central Wisconsin. This is my site for sharing information with students and others interested in swing dancing.
Currently I don't have any YMCA dance classes lined up. My last class was in early spring of 2002. Please call the Hudson YMCA (715) 386-1616 if you'd like to be put on the waiting list for upcoming classes !

In May of 2003 I taught "emergency" dance classes at Pepin, Wisconsin High School in anticipation of the highschool Prom! The folks wanted to be sure that the kids knew some dance steps and moves before the big night.
In the spring of 2000, Randy Hanson, one of my "Y" students, penned an interesting and well written article about the YMCA dance class. The YMCA crowd was an especially good class. I was impressed with how they've all "stuck with it" and have progressed wonderfully!! Lots of laughter and lightheartedness! I'm still running into this bunch at dances in the Twin City area!

In late 1998 thru the first quarter of 1999 I had over 650 students pass through my swing classes in River Falls, Baldwin, Spring Valley and Pepin and received enthusiastic feedback.
