You will find your blue Festival Flyer enclosed in this Newsletter. It is a tri-fold you can take out and keep handy. BABY SHOW - Thursday, August 19th. Registering starts at 5:00 pm at the Bandstand. Open for ages birth to 3 years old. There is a $2 entry fee. The contest begins at 6:30 pm. (FYI - You don't have to have your baby at the Park until 6:30 when the contest starts. Someone just needs to go to the Park earlier to register the baby and get their number.) Registering starts 30 minutes before the contest. Open to ages 4-6 years old. Entries must live within the Stewartsville School District. There is a $2 entry fee. Sponsored by Everett's Quarry and King City Lumber. BAR-B-QUE - Friday, August 20th at the Legion Hall. ALL YOU CAN EAT! $7.00 for 11-Adult, $4.00 for ages 4-10, and 3 and under - free. They are gray with the logo that's on the front of the blue flyer that says "50 Years of Fun!" The lettering is red, yellow and black. They are selling for $12.00 and $14.00 for XXL. Please order ahead and your order may be back in time for the Festival. Otherwise, they may not have your size at the Festival. Call 669-8123 to order your T-Shirt. is scheduled for Saturday, September 18, 2004. The cost is $5.00 per sale to be collected at City Hall. There is space in the City Park for $5.00 per sale. To get on the map, please call or come by City Hall with your list of specialty items and the address of your sale by Thursday the 16th. Signs will be put on Main Street only. You will have to furnish your own signs for your yard. Maps will be available at the businesses early that morning. After the advertisement is paid, the balance is given to the Stewartsville Betterment Association Fund. REMINDER - DOG LICENSES WERE DUE AUGUST 1ST. The new city licenses are a purple heart. If your dog still has the orange flower, you need to get the license renewed. Make sure your dog's rabies shots are up to date. The City Clerk has record of when most dogs shots are up if you can't find your papers. The charge is $3 for males and spade females and $7 for unsprayed females. If you give the dogs the rabies shot yourself, bring the bottle you used to give the shot and you will have to fill out a paper and sign it at City Hall. The City's Financial Statement for the first 6 months of 2004 is enclosed in this Newsletter. **************************************** LABOR DAY is Monday, September 6th. City Hall will be closed. **************************************** building has a Rental Hall available. The charge is $200 for any event. They will be renting space for the Citywide Garage Sale. They also have the running light sign out on the highway. You can have your personal message for business or pleasure put on the sign.
